There is nothing that I can commend regarding our stay at this motel. We left early and did not complete our stay.
My wife and I are in the process of writing a letter to both the headquarters of America's Best Value and the BBB. We tried one room that was filthy. Upon complaint we were given another room that was also filthy and bug-infested. Exposed wires could be seen in the bathrooms of both rooms. The television did not work in the second room. Upon discovering a cockroach on the bed in the second room, we decided to leave. We informed the desk-worker who replied that she could do nothing without permission from the manager. We called America's Best the following morning and found that this motel had been terminated with America's Best.
Close to downtown Hannibal
Room had a foul oder to it, I know it was a smoking room, but it was something different. Rooms hair dryer was missing and wanted to go swimming because it was 100 degrees. Walked up to the pool and it was bone dry. Looked like it had not been filled in months. Sinks and tub drained too slow and filled up. Sheets had no elastic left and you were laying on the mattress if you moved at all. You get what you pay for, it was the cheapest in town.
2 things - the name of the hotel itself and the location.
Rest all things - special mentioned required for the staff and service.
It was terrible - the picture totally mislead what the motel was like. Also, the pool was empty and in disrepair even though advertised on the web site. The rooms had dead bugs and large chucks of dry wall falling off. Nasty...
